Bogle Special
Music in almost every culture is always coupled with dancing. It seems like common knowledge but sometimes the obvious has to be stated. With Hip-Hop you have break dancing, Spanish music has its own dances, even classical has ballet. Dancehall is very unconventional as far as dances. It is open for the individual to express what they are feeling through their gift of dancing. One person that did that was the late Bogle.
An icon in Jamaican and everywhere Dancehall traveled his name or his legacy is known. You may have known him by name because of songs like “All Dem Deh” or knew of his passing due to the tribute song “Mr. Wacky” but I myself remember the countless songs named after his dance. To me he made a great impression on Dancehall. Found this video with some footage of him while he was still alive. I believe that Elephant Man was in the background dancing.
A beautiful quote from him “It is nice to be important but it is more important to be nice.”
