Tifa in the Studio

Tifa is in the studio with producer Don Corleon.  I heard part of the track and it sounds fire.  The audio wasn’t the best but the flow was great and riddim tough.  Since I saw what Don has done with Alaine, I’m really interested in seeing the growth of Tifa.  Oh almost forgot fellas over 6′ she’s single.  Just know if you dirty “I’m leaving cause your cheating and you know its true.”

Tifa, born Latifa Brown, has been influenced by Earth, Wind, and Fire, Patti Labelle, and Aretha Franklin.  Her stepfather, Sampalue, has also played a major role in being so passionate in Dancehall music.  Who else to have in your corner than Sampalue,  the man that helped build Lady Saw’s career. Early in 2005 she she recorded on Sampalue’s first record able Diamond Rush Records.

The video below is her single first single of 2009.  It was produced by Ward 21 and shows some promising lyrical skills with some nice word play.  The video for this single was directed by Dexter “3D” Pottinger.

Its nice to see one of Dancehall’s new school have so much backing by certified Dancehall artists and produces.  She is a very humble yet passionate about her music.  From the little interaction I had with her I will definitely say she real cool.
